He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Straub and Margaret Straub (Helfert); his wife Edna Mae Straub; his sister Betty Sumner (Jerry); his sister-in-law Mary Straub; and his grandson Nicholas Goedde.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Goedde (Frank) of St. Wendel, Carol Straub of Evansville, Gail Erwin (Mark) of Mt. Vernon and Rick Straub (Renea) of St. Wendel, Indiana; his brother Larry Straub; his grandchildren, Chris Goedde (Whitney), Alicia Portee (Alex), Samantha Kozinski (Rylan), Nicole Oliva (Luke), Courtnee Sierra (Shane), Coral Straub, Cruz Straub, Cordale Straub and Dimitri Straub; and his great grandchildren, Addyson, Brylee Goedde, Cayden Klein, Lena, Xander Portee, Lincoln, Ty Sierra, Rosie, Della and Mateo Oliva.
