We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2026, at the age of 93, Ilene Ann Deig of Evansville, Indiana, born in Kevil, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Euyle Fondaw and Nellie Fondaw; her sister Ruth Fondaw Husk; and her husband Erwin Deig (Deig Brothers Lumber). She is survived by: her children, Gary Deig (Pam Carroll), Terri Korff (Brian Korff), Glenn A. Deig (Mary Rose Deig) and Galen R. Deig (Kathy Jo Henson); her grandchildren, Matthew Deig (Sherry), Rebecca Vogel (Brian), Barbara Deig, Andrew Deig (Alicia), Christopher Deig (Molly), Stephanie Deig (Jules Durez), Eric Deig (Erica), Evan Deig (Mia), Jackson Deig and Nicholas Deig; her great grandchildren, Alexia, Griffin, Samuel, Avery, Vincent, Campbell, Drew, Mauve, Arden, Elloise, Emelia and Mina; and her cousin Glenn Fondaw (Angie).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Alexander Funeral Home-West Chapel (2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
