He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Nelson and Katherine Nelson (Phillips); and his siblings, Linda Jones and Larry Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Deanna Comer (Steve), Jim Nelson (Traci) and Jeremy Nelson; and his brother Jerry Nelson (Rita). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
