He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Kappler (Masters) and Melvin Kappler. He is survived by: his children, Jim Kappler (Karla), Jeff Kappler (Beth), Karen Pleiss (Scott), Brian Kappler (Donna) and Dan Kappler (Andrea); and his grandchildren, David Kappler (Ashley), Kerri Blanford (Alex), Lisa Kappler, Ryan Kappler (Courtney), Megan Kappler, Matthew Pleiss (Ashley Graper), Jennifer Pleiss, Amy Draeger (Jordan), Emily Phelps (Zach), Andrea Kerner (T. J.), Robby Ort (Brittany), Laura Ivory (Jake) and Eric Kappler. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
