It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James L. Lambert of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Pauline Lambert (Greenwell) and Roy Evans Lambert; his wife Betty Ann Lambert (Glahn); his sisters, Josephine Drury and Florence Henshaw; and his grandsons, David and Christopher Aaron McCutchan.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Lambert of Indianapolis, IN, Catherine Lambert of Indianapolis, IN, Teresa Shearer (Tim) of Indianapolis, IN, Mary McCutchan (David L.) of Evansville, IN, Stephen Lambert of Evansville, IN, John Lambert of Evansville, IN, Louise Carter (Keith) of Evansville, IN, Phil Lambert (Suzanne) of Newburgh, IN and Jim Lambert of Paducah, KY.; his grandchildren, Mark McCutchan, Brett McCutchan (Leslie), Wendy McCutchan, Jennifer McCutchan, Luke Shearer, Samuel Lambert, Kellie Lambert, Mia Carter, Ryan Lambert, Dessie Vetter (Steve), Chad Shearer (Apple) and Eric Shearer (Jennifer); and his children, Terre Haute, Masses and Betty. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel (800 S Hebron Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Annunciation Catholic Parish-Christ the King Church (3010 E Chandler Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). An entombment will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2500 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47720).
