We announce the death of James L. Lemond of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Lemond (Giesler) and Glen Lemond; his wife Evelyn Lemond (Finke); his son Mark Lemond; his son-in-law Kelly Ambrose; and his sisters, Patricia Perkins and Shirley Reese.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Miller (Rusty), Cheryl Ambrose and John Lemond (Lori); his daughter-in-law Sharon Lemond; his grandchildren, Nick Miller (Katie), Natalie Oster (Pat), Nathan Miller (Melissa), Ben Lemond (Katelyn), Heath Lemond (Robin), Nikki Williams (Justin), Caitlin Murphy (Declan), Riley Ambrose, Luke Ambrose (Kelsey) and Morgan Lemond (Hannah); and his sisters, Marilyn Voelkel (Gib) and Sue Lambert. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
