It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jamia Ann Schmitt of Evansville, Indiana, born in Mount Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James C. Bottomley and Lucy Bottomley (Johnson). She is survived by : her husband Clero George Schmitt; her sons, Charo G. Schmitt (Annette Lindsey) and Eric Schmitt (Joanna); her grandchildren, KateLynn Schmitt, Casey Schmitt, Emily Schmitt (Lucas Mayer) and Holley Schmitt (Mike Thomas); her great grandchildren, Carson Schmitt and Landon Yates; and her sisters, Donna Schut, Helen Kay, Trudy Pryor (John), Cheryl Schauss (Cliff) and Michelle Bottomley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Alexander Memorial Park (2200 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47720).
