He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joseph and Evelyn Ann Weis (Ziliak); his brother Dennis Weis; and his stepson Craig Genet. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Weis (Kleinschmidt); his siblings, Rebecca Heidorn (Jim) and Don Weis (Alice); his stepson Travis Genet (Danielle); and his stepgrandchildren, Madison and Jacob Genet.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh County Humane Society and the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
