He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Cecil and Valada Cecil; his sisters, Jean Lyon and Maye Cecil; and his great grandchild Karsyn Boswell.
He is survived by: his wife Verneida Dennis of Paul's Lutheran; his children, Dennis Cecil (Angela), Jayne Ann Helsley (John) and Kevin Cecil (Kim); his grandchildren, Jonah Cecil, Claire Cecil, Samantha Boswell (Noah), Cassidy Helsley and Jackson Helsley; his great grandchild Parker Boswell; his sister Faye Wortman (Bill); and his sister-in-law Helen Biesenthal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Evansville Lutheran School, and The Hilltopper Athletic Foundation.
