He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Beshear (Wambach) and Leo Beshear; his wife Sharon Beshear (Oates); and his brothers, William Beshear and Keith Beshear.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Hayden and Brian Beshear (Megan); his stepgrandsons, Branden Redding and Bryan Oliver; and his brothers, Raymond Beshear (Jackie) and David Beshear (Joyce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
