He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar F. Sims and Ellen C. Sims (Beavin); his sons, Daniel Paul Sims, David Allen Sims and Dennis William Sims; and his siblings, Elizabeth Voelker, Nancy Weinzapfel, Thomas, William and Raymond Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Sims (Gosson); his daughter DeAnne; his son-in-law Doug Keck; his grandchildren, Thomas Dennis, Heather Finn, Matthew Sims (Alyssa), John Sims (Hayley) and Samantha Sims; and his great grandchildren, Franklin Sims and Remington Sims.
