He is survived by: his wife Jean; his former wife Katie; and his daughters, Diane Berger (Lee) and Lois Williams (Ron). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; son-in-law; sisters and brothers-in-law; step-children; and many friends.

“I’m sorry to learn of John’s passing. He was brother to my brother-in-law, Dick Reine, who passed a year ago. John was always warm, considerate and kind to me. He knew that I valued old books, and would occasionally come across one I might like and send it to me. Very thoughtful and caring.”
