It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Elaine Salo of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilfred "Casper" Helfrich and Patricia Steimentz (Miller); her siblings, Vickie Dyson, Faye "Sissy" Douthitt, Jerry "Junior" Gillenwater and Troy Maggard; and her parents-in-law, Richard and Janet Salo.

She is survived by : her husband Thomas Cecil Salo; her children, Rose Anne Marie Salo (Dylan Sutherland), Timothy Salo (Kelsey Berry) and Jason Salo (Jessica); her grandchildren, Kyle Maurer, Jr., Perseus Salo and Cadence Salo; her brothers, Mark Gillenwater (Vicky) and Rickie Gillenwater; and her close friend Emmett Jones. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
