She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Townsend and Catherine Townsend (Barthel); her husband Thomas G. Mulherin; her grandson Nicholas O'Daniel; and her siblings, Joan Seib, Sarah Tepool, Suzanne Lohrer, Rita Townsend, Richard Townsend and Thomas Townsend.

She is survived by: her children, Maureen O'Daniel of Evansville, Jane Russell (Todd) of Evansville, Ann Schapker (Roger) of Evansville, Pat Mulherin (December) of Evansville, Mike Mulherin (Jane) of Evansville, Tom Mulherin of Terre Haute, John Mulherin (Pepper) of Evansville and Matt Mulherin (Angela) of Evansville; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Conde (Ivan), Janelle Fehn (Matt), Justin Mulherin, Michael Mulherin (Katie), Johnny, Marianna Mulherin, Adrianna O'Daniel, Madeline Macon (Tristan), Joe O'Daniel, Morgan Mulherin, Jackson Mulherin, Dillon Mulherin (Kenzie), Fallon Mulherin, Mallory, Josh Russell, Austin Schapker (Haley), Nolan Schapker (Jill), Taylor Schapker, Luke, Ethan and Trent Mulherin; and her siblings, Carolyn Allen, Mary Jane Pfister (Jim), Kathy Seibert, Dan Townsend (Katie), Mike Townsend (Mary Jo) and David Townsend (Lynna). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Annunciation Catholic Parish-Christ the King Church (3010 E Chandler Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A Mass was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Saint Joseph Cemetery (2500 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47720).
