She was predeceased by: her parents, Murl Harbison and Martha Harbison (Stillwell); her siblings, Robert Harbison and Jacqualyn Harbison; her husband Eldon Bates; her daughters, Chrissy Bates and Lori Koss; and her sister-in-law Betty (Tinsley Webb).
She is survived by: her sister Janet Resler (Darrell); her children, Gary Moyer (Debbie) and Angela Higgins (Buddy); her grandchildren, Aaron Moyer (Danielle), Amanda Gross, Anna Tramill, Kara Alexander, Randy McGrew, Dustin McGrew (Angie), Derek McGrew (Casie), Jimmy Boyd (Tiffany), Elizabeth Voegel (Casey), Jessica Higgins, Jennifer Johnson, Jacob Higgins and Micheala Higgins; and her nieces and nephews, Heather Resler, Clinton Resler, LouAnna Racster and Cindy Hedrick. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Alexander Funeral Home-West (2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at the Birdseye Cemetery (400 Elm St, Birdseye, IN 47513).
