With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judith Diane Gates of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on May 13, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Judith departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Judith may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Judith leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham "Tom" T. Shaner and Margaret "Pauline" Shaner (White); and her husband Larry E. Gates. She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Reller (Todd) and Laurel Knapp; and her siblings, Thomas Shaner (Fran), Carolyn Bassemier and Janice Damaske. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
