She was predeceased by: her husband Maung Maung Kyi; and her daughters-in-law, Freya Tan and Dr. Khin Khin Myint. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Sein Sein (Kyaw Win), Thinn Thinn (Moe Aung) and Dr. Aung Choon; her grandchildren, Dr. Khin Su Mon, Annie Mooney, Dr. Than Kywe Oo, Dr. Su Nandar Htet, Dr. Pyae Phyo Thinn, Dr. Su Myat Kyin and Toe Toe Aung Gyi; her friend Ayay Paing Min; and her son Burma.

Daw Kyin Aye being a devoted Buddhist, did a lot of good deeds throughout her life: donations towards monasteries, monks, and people in need.
