Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved LaVerne Prechtel of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 88, on February 18, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose "Bud" Klein and Mary Klein (Wagner); her brother Eugene; and her sister-in-law Carol Klein. She is survived by: her husband Dennis; her children, David Prechtel (Kathleen), Jane Fraebel (Ted), Karla Griscom (Dave), Alan Prechtel (Tamara) and Glenn Prechtel (Kris); and her siblings, Jane Marie Klein, Richard Klein (Barbara) and Jerry Klein (Kathy). She is also survived by thirteen beautiful grandchildren and sixteen precious great grandchildren.
