She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold V. McDonald and Helen J. McDonald Schmidt (Rogers); her stepfather John William "Bill" Schmidt; her husband Tony Ross; her brother Ronald McDonald; and her grandson Ethan Johnson.

She is survived by: her son Eric Johnson; her sisters, Lori McDonald Madison (Paul) and Shelly McDonald Shamsaie; and her grandchildren, Emily Smith (Steve), Elissa Redman (Nathan) and Evan Johnson. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to It Takes a Village Animal Rescue or Albion Fellows Bacon Center in Evansville.
