She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Barnett (Crowley) and James A. Barnett; her stepson Daniel Rexing; and her sisters, Sandra Stanley and Nancy Barnett.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Rexing; her stepdaughter Mary Gayle Carey (Owen); her stepdaughter-in-law Kelley Rexing; her stepgrandchildren, Brian Rexing (Cory), Keith Rexing (Caitlin), Amy Deutsch (Nicholas) and Laura Newmaster (Jacob); and her siblings, Don Barnett (Barbara) and Karen Robertson (Jim). She is also survived by nine step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel (6300 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
