He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Marion and Carrie Evelyn Brown (Windell); his significant other Shirley Brown (Anderson Ratliff); his nephews, Ricky and Jason; and his niece Leslie.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Brown, Catrina Brown, Charla Fox (Brian), Chuck Brown (Debbie) and Chris Brown; his siblings, Dr. Joe C. Brown (Carol), Patricia Heatwole (Richard), David Brown (Karyn) and Susan Seal (Harold Jr.); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Howard, Mike Ratliff (Catherine) and Samuel Ratliff (Sandra); his aunt Jeanette Watson; his grandchildren, Chip (Lindsay), Kimberlee (Jacob), Bradlee (Susannah), Brooke and Pumpkin; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Mackenna, Amelia, Allie, Sophia, Benji and Brooks; his close friend Sam Lamar; and his caregivers, Sylvia, Lisa, Judy, Amy and Maggie. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
