It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark D Rettig of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Rettig and Doris Rettig (Hergenrother); his cousin Michael Koonce; his aunt Ruth Koonce; and his niece Melissa Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Rettig; his son Scott Rettig (Emily); his grandchildren, Benjamin Rettig (Si) and Julianna Rettig; his sister Barbara Gaisser; his sister-in-law Linda VanWay (Jerry); and his nieces and nephews, Julie Pace (Charlie), Jennifer Cross (David), Lisa, Michael and Robbie Golden. He is also survived by several cousins; and all the many good friends.
