She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Smith and Willie Smith (Kelley); her former husband Richard Grossman; her husband Ray McCurdy; her son-in-law Bob Bender; and her siblings, Martha Heltsley, Maurice and Harold T. "Tom" Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Bender; her grandson Rich Bender (Teona); her great grandchildren, Morgan Bender (Stephanie) and Kanin Bender; and her great great grandchildren, Madelyn and Nora Bender.
