He is survived by: his parents, Michael Ray and Cathy Ann McDowell (Gibson); his children, Brittney Spalding (Denver), Destiney McDowell, Madison McDowell, Christian France and Skyler McDowell; and his siblings, Tracey McDowell, Bryan McDowell and James McDowell (Kristy). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
