He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Leon Sibbitt, Sr. and Beatrice Naomi Sibbitt (Weatherholt); and his wife Connie Sibbitt (Bender). He is survived by: his children, Heidi VanWinkle (Sibbitt) and Michael L Sibbitt; his grandchildren, Easton and Mallory Sibbitt; and his brother Alva Leon Sibbitt, Jr. (Judy).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Indiana Fallen Heroes Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides support for funerals of Indiana police officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
