He is survived by: his sister Pat Carter (Keith) of Evansville, Indiana; his sibling's children, Jenny Smith (Luke) of Brownsburg, Indiana and Michael Carter (Lynn) of Evansville, Indiana; his great-nephews, Carson Smith, Gavin Smith, Liam Carter and Caleb Carter; and his great-niece Claire Smith.
