It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patty Jean Smith (Evansville, Indiana), born in Grandview, Indiana, who passed away on August 9, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Atlas Van Lines; her husband Bernard C. Smith; her sisters, Carol Minor and Cora Mae Palmer; and her son-in-law Bryan Hartke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Burgdorf (Ben) and Donna Hartke; her brother Jay Doyle; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Burgdorf (Mindi), Eric Burgdorf (Liz), Nathan Burgdorf (Courtney) and Ruth Hartke (Roberto). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
