The passing of Rebecca J. Casteel of Evansville, Indiana occurred on October 7, 2026. Rebecca, born on December 31, 1941, is remembered by those who knew her. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Lile and Hazel Lile (Brown); and her spouse Jesse Casteel. She is survived by: her son Roger Casteel (Mary); her grandson Jimmy Casteel (Mary Ann); and her siblings, Catherine Timmons, Sidney Lile (Sandra), Ramona Hillenbrand (Michael), Hattie Gill (Jimmy) and Ginger Elderbrook. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Alexander East Chapel (2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
