He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Rex and Helen Mae Mowery (Cardinal); his children, Adrien Joseph Mowery and Sarah Lynn Appel; and his brother Charles Joseph Mowery.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Elaine Venturini; his sisters, Karla Wade (Mark) and Kim Byrne (Rick); his granddaughters, Makaelyn and Brooklyn Appel; his nephews, Matthew Byrne (Julie), Michael Byrne, Ryan and Nathan Wade; Jeff Appel.
