We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2024, at the age of 94, Rita A. Weinzapfel of Evansville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph H. Denning and Elizabeth E. Denning (Seibert); her husband Bernard Weinzapfel; and her brothers, Leo, Charles, Tom and Andy Denning.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Summers (Ronnie), Greg Weinzapfel (Julie), Brian Weinzapfel (Krista), Diana Schoettlin (Scott) and Kathy Schoettlin (Steve); her grandchildren, Stephanie Brinkmeyer (Greg), Jamie Whitney (David), Sophie, Clara Weinzapfel, Kari Mobley (Adam), Brent Weinzapfel (Louie), Alyssa Backes (Cory), Jessica Devault (Matt), Brandon Schoettlin (Katelyn), Bradley Schoettlin, Blake Schoettlin (Alex), Briana Will (Drew), Alex Schoettlin (Morgan), Kayla Choate (Aaron) and Andrew Schoettlin (Ali); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Brinkmeyer, Zoe, Eliza, Miles Whitney, Bree Mobley, Braxton Weinzapfel, River Devault, Faye, Palmer, Walker Schoettlin, Ozzie Schoettlin, Colton and Hadlee Schoettlin.
