He is survived by: his wife Martha Froehle (Hamilton); his children, Stephanie Russel, Crystal Mahoy and John Froehle; his stepchildren, Tamara Head, Melissa Dowdy and Charles W. Dowdy, Jr. (Theresa); his sister Cheryl Nappo; and his grandson Justin Froehle.
