He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis S. Maurer and Norma L. Maurer (Hillenbrand); his pet Koda; his wife Kathryn Maurer; his daughters, Ashton Maurer (Michael Volkman), Madi Chaykowsky (Zack) and Ali Maurer (Andrew Schoettlin); his stepdaughter Grace Doane; his siblings, Debbie (Bob Pigman), Vicki (Walt Siwicki), Randy (Leanne Maurer) and Ron Maurer; and his grandchildren, McKenna and Cole Chaykowsky. He was also cherished by his girls and grandchildren.
