Simmons of Evansville, Indiana, born in Marion, Illinois, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Simmons and Zella Norman; his wife Gloria Simmons (Cravens); his niece Patricia Moody (Rita Douglas); and his brother Jack Simmons.

He is survived by: his sibling's children, Rebecca "Becky" Brewer, Jeff Cravens, Greg Cravens, John Cravens, Tom Cravens, Ron Simmons and Rick Smith.
