He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Winkle (Pendleton) and Robert L. Van Winkle; and his siblings, Greg Van Winkle and Nancy Reiter. He is survived by: his wife Alva Van Winkle (Stucki); his children, Katrina Evans and Jeremy Van Winkle (Ally); his grandchildren, Scout Van Winkle and Owen Smither; and his siblings, Mark Van Winkle, David Van Winkle and Donna Harper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
