He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Wessel and Dorothy Wessel (Eggemeyer); his wife Melanie Wessel (Happe); his children, Dusten (Terry Wessel), Chelsea (Jarod Mills) and Laila (Casey Schu); his siblings, Kathy Kennedy (Billy) and Jim Wessel (Joan); and his grandchildren, Stella Wessel, Connor Roberts, Parker, Everleigh Wessel, Haven, Toby, Arianna, Tyler Mills, Emerson and Griffin Schu.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pierre Funeral Home (2601 W Franklin St, Evansville, IN 47712). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
