He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Elizabeth Gertrude (Engel) and William Peterson Zigenfus; and his siblings, Elizabeth Ann Zigenfus, Marilyn Battersby (Wilson) and Gary Charles Zigenfus.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Zigenfus (Serpico); his children, Robin Marie Kent and Robert William Zigenfus, Jr. (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jacob William Zigenfus (Madison), Katelyn Marie Zigenfus and Victoria Anne Zigenfus; his great grandchild Shepherd Woods Zigenfus; and his sister-in-law MaryAnn Forker of Whiting, NJ. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel (6300 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
