He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGuire and Miona McGuire; and his brothers, Thomas "Jay" McGuire, Daniel McGuire, Brian Keith "Tater" McGuire, Kelly and Darrel McGuire.

He is survived by: the mother of his children Rhonda VanZant-Bird; his girlfriend Paula; his siblings, Connie Harrelson (Charles "Monk") of Equality, Darren McGuire of Brownsville, Ray McGuire (Grace) of Carmi and Roger McGuire of Eldorado, Illinois.; and his children, Ronald Dean and Sara Beth Ashworth.
