She was predeceased by : her husband Charles F. Schmitz; her mother Ruth Todish (Erwin); her daughter Kathy Schmitz Hayden; and her siblings, Patty, Terri and Johnny.

She is survived by : her son Larry A. Schmitz; her grandchildren, Rachel Leslie, Heather Schmitz, Alan Schmitz (Lisa) and Amanda Calkins (Jason); and her sister Georgia. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
