It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Whitaker (Evansville, Indiana), who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Samuel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Samuel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Whitaker and Molly Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Whitaker; his children, Margaret Whitaker, Patty Whittlow (Richard) and Sam III Whitaker (Bonnie); and his grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Samuel, Owen and Megan. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
