He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Spalding and Mary Spalding (Clemens); his wife Joan Spalding; his brother Jerry Spalding; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Schapker and Britt Shoulders.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Spalding, Jr. (Danielle), Chris Hudson (Lisa), Michelle Parker, Kelly Beals and Tracey Khan; and his siblings, Tom Spalding (Debbie), Bruce Spalding (Margie), Jim Spalding (Dawn), Scott Spalding (Kim Josey), Susie Schapker, Linda Spalding, Sharon Koonce, Kathy Evans (Gary), Sandy Howe (Jeff) and Laurie Shoulders.
