It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Catherine (Lyons) Reel-Batteiger of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Edward E. Lyons; her former life partner Dael Reel; her husband Clayton Batteiger; her son David Reel; her brother Lawrence Edward Lyons; her sister-in-law Paula Lyons; and her stepson Keith Batteiger.

She is survived by : her children, Jane Ann Reel of Albany, NY, Dale Edward Reel (Jane Ellen) of Evansville, IN, Connie B. Lovell (Gary) of Evansville, IN and Curtis Batteiger of Evansville, IN; her grandchildren, Amanda Sue Reel of Ann Arbor, MI, Amber Zagrodzki (Maciej) of Longmont, CO, Michael Boring (Kayla Tamez) of Evansville, IN, Byron Batteiger of Mt. Vernon, IN and Brian Lovell of Evansville, IN; her great grandchildren, Halina Zagrodzki, Wyatt Boring and Henry Lovell; her nephew Jeffrey Lyons (Katherine) of Evansville, IN; her nieces, LeeAnn L. Heller (Bruce) of Stamford, CT, Rebecca Barnett (David) of West Lafayette, IN, Roberta Simon (Sam) of Battleground, IN and Elaine Dziubla (Richard) of Chino Valley, AZ; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Patrick, Justin, Natalie Lyons, Samantha and Lauren Heller.
