He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Cook; his siblings, Donald Cook and Carolyn Miller; and his parent William. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Cook-Jackson; his son-in-law Joe Jackson; his grandson Derrick Machado; and his sister Debra Eads.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
He was a faithful supporter of numerous organizations, including the Indiana Sheriffs' Association, National Rifle Association, AARP, VFW, DAV, FOP Lodge #73, Alliance for Retired Americans, Evansville Rescue Mission, Parkinson's Foundation, Riley Children's Hospital, Salvation Army, St. Jude Foundation, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
