He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ayers and Virginia Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Ann Kleinschmidt; his sister Alice Cadmus of Cape Coral, FL; his sisters-in-law, Helen Findling of Scottsdale, AZ and Debbie Kleinschmidt of Grayville, IL; and his sibling's children, Douglas Findling, Steven Findling, David Kleinschmidt, Jason Wilson and Kim Curry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church food pantry.
