He was predeceased by: his parents, Sally Wilson Anderson and George Anderson; his wife Charlotte Fykes Anderson; his grandparents, Henrietta Johnson Wilson, Sam Wilson and Eugene Watkins; and his brother Millard Ranson, Jr..
He is survived by: his siblings' children, Ursula Smith and Daniel Lee Anderson; his son Charleston Garrett (Rashedah); his grandchildren, Charlston Garrett, Jr. of Evansville and Ra'Deja Johnson of Evansville; his siblings, Deloise Anderson of Canton, MS, Georgia Anderson of Evansville and Charlie Anderson of Evansville; his siblings-in-law, Gloria Anderson of Evansville and Gordon Fykes (Rhonda) of Memphis, Tennessee; his nephew Charles Lamar Anderson (Alexis); and his close friends, Mary Black, Elder Matthew Hale, Rev. Steve Brown, Eugene Ellis and Leonard Collins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
After retiring from Whirlpool Corp., Thomas worked in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) at Carver Community Organization.
