She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Scales and Virginia Scales (Reynolds); her siblings, Wilma Brown, Billy Scales, Carl Scales and Larry Scales; and her grandchildren, Saben Johnson and Ashley McDonald.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Rick" Smith; her children, Karen Sandefur (Brian) and Karl Smith (Michelle) of Evansville, IN; her sisters, Linda Jackson of Goodlettsville, TN, Jeannie Clayton (Steve) of Evansville, IN, Margie Stanley and Norma Kemp (Bo); her grandchildren, Michael Smith, Alexandria Baize, Jacob Smith, Madison Sandefur, Matthew Sandefur and Mason Sandefur; and her great grandchildren, Easton, Kaige, Ella, Weston and Willow. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
