Goebel of Evansville, Indiana, born in Poseyville, Indiana, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schmitt and Florentina Schmitt (Spahn); her husband Aloysius "Ollie" Goebel; and her siblings, Darlene Hertel, Raymond, Alvin, Urban and Francis Schmitt.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Mary Rager (Bill), Carolyn Zirkelbach (Jim Miles), Connie Rubrecht (Robin), Brenda Carr (Alan), Linda Duke (Dan), Rick Goebel (Bev), Kenny Goebel (Paula), Gerald Goebel (Donna) and Jeff Goebel (Jennifer); her siblings, Mary Louise Brooks, Rita Gries (Alvin "Buddy"), Herman Schmitt (Catherine) and Jerome Schmitt (Loretta); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Schmitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church or to the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand, IN.
