He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Brackett (Titzer) and Sam Brackett; his granddaughter Brittany Luttrell; his sisters, Judy Brackett and Jayne Burns; and his son-in-law Marty Luttrell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Susan "Susie" Brackett (Behme); his children, Dr. Eric Brackett (Deanna), Cindy Luttrell, Dr. Chris Brackett (Kristie) and E. J. Whitacre (Rob); his grandchildren, Erin Hartsock, Kate Brackett (Carson Bitter), Will Brackett, Caroline Brackett, Gracie Whitacre, Sam Brackett, Jack Brackett, Cody Luttrell, Natalie Whitacre, Jake Brackett, Addison Whitacre and Nate Whitacre; his great grandchildren, Kaydence Luttrell, Ella Hartsock, Owen Hartsock and Avery Luttrell; and his sister Joan Hudgens (Bill).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Annunciation Parish - Christ The (3010 E Chandler Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
