He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Sipkema and Grace Sipkema (Hoffman); his wife Ruth Coberly; his siblings, Mildred Sipkema, Sadie Myers, Bill and Bob Sipkema (Alma); his children-in-law, Richard Higgins, Jeff Dunlap and Dawn Sipkema; and his grandson Bradley Dykstra.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Higgins, Daniel Sipkema (Chris), Norma DeVries (Doug), Norita Dykstra (Bill), Melissa Profrock (Vince), Mike Sipkema (Tiffany) and Scott Sipkema (Amy). He is also survived by 53 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte (200 3rd St SW, De Motte, IN 46310). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the American Reformed Church (1021 S Halleck St, De Motte, IN 46310).
