He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ernest Barker and Dorthy Lucille Carter (Hummell); his wife Rebecca Butrum; and his son Donald Orr. He is survived by: his daughter Penny Renee Buckalew (Michael) of Pennsylvania; his siblings, Charlie Barker of Lafayette and Bonnie Helms of Clearmont, Florida; his grandchildren, Mary Beard, Pennie Rawley, Jessi Blankenship, LeAnna Orr, Devin Buckalew and Dillon Buckalew; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Kayla, Jaxon, Alesia, Georgia, Leo and Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
