With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arvie Cooley of Fairmount, Indiana, who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arvie Cooley to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Willie" Cooley and Nellie Cooley (Thompson); the mother of his children Mary Rayphotz; his wives, Murial Cooley and Judy L Cooley (Butts); and his brothers, Noah "" Cooley of Utah and Franklin D. "Bill" Hunnicut.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Wyatt and Dewayne Cooley; his grandchildren, Noel Ratliff (Catina), Marion, Nicholas Ratliff (Megan) and Season Johnson (Jake); his great grandchildren, Kyle Ratliff, Courtney Ratliff Jonathan Ratliff, Marcus Ratliff, Andrew Ratliff and Aaron Johnson; and his close friend Wilma Jean Soultz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services (415 S Main St, Fairmount, IN 46928). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Arvie's memory may be made to the Fairmount Lions Club.
